Leaves are gently swaying, telling tales of calm,
Sitting on the porch, with sunshine on my palm.
The breeze has got a rhythm, a song that's light and free,
Whispering trees are my company.
Peaceful as the river's flow, drifting with the stream,
Strumming through the silence, living out a dream.
In this Sunday quiet, life comes naturally,
Let the world keep turning, I’ll stay with the trees.
Yesterday’s worries fade like footprints in the sand,
The weight I carried loosens with an open hand.
Birds draw lazy circles in a wide and endless blue,
Every shadow finds its light when I’m here with you.
Peaceful as the river's flow, drifting with the stream,
Strumming through the silence, living out a dream.
In this Sunday quiet, life comes naturally,
Let the world keep turning, I’ll stay with the trees.
No need to chase the hours or the noise that pulls me under,
Just the creak of old wood and the sky splitting thunder.
If tomorrow brings its storms, I’ll still remember this,
How the trees keep every secret and the quiet grants me peace.
Peaceful as the river's flow, drifting with the stream,
Strumming through the silence, living out a dream.
In this Sunday quiet, life comes naturally,
Let the world keep turning… I’ll stay with the trees.
Outro (fade on gentle fingerpicking):
Yeah, I’ll stay… with the whispering trees.

Soft rain tapping lightly on the windowpane,
Melodies unravel in the gentle refrain.
Notebook by my side, pen heavy in my hand,
Chasing dreams that slip away like sand.
Bare branches trace their secrets on the glass,
Time moves slow as shadows slowly pass.
The kettle whispers on the stove below,
Steam rising up like questions no one knows.
In this solitude my mind roams far and wide,
Spinning fragile stories I keep deep inside.
On this grey Sunday, peace is paper-thin it seems,
I’m lost again inside these windowsill dreams.
Old letters yellowed, scattered on the sill,
Words from voices now forever still.
A child’s laugh drifts up from the street below,
Fades into the mist like footprints in the snow.
No need to run when thunder rolls outside,
The quiet knows the places where I hide.
All the broken roads and battles I’ve outrun,
Gather here like leaves when summer’s done.
In this solitude my mind roams far and wide,
Spinning fragile stories I keep deep inside.
On this grey Sunday, peace is paper-thin it seems,
I’m lost again inside these windowsill dreams.
Windowsill dreams… carry me home…
Windowsill dreams… leave me alone…

Coffee’s cold again, but I’m already gone
Chasing deadlines downtown while the sun’s barely drawn
Little feet on the stairs, that eight-year-old grin
Asking why the sky is blue and where the day begins
Two-year-old tornado spinning blocks across the floor
Five months of pure magic crying out for more
I steal every second, every laugh that I can hold
Before the clock says “go” and leaves another story untold
House is loud as a freight train, but we’re riding it together
Your eyes say “I got this” even when we’re running on forever
We’re sleepwalking through our beautiful mess
Tripping over toys and stealing one more kiss
Diapers, deadlines, and tiny hands in mine
None of us had enough sleep to make any sense tonight
But damn, it feels like heaven in this crazy life
Yeah, we’re wide awake inside the sweetest kind of tired
You’re the fort, the general, the midnight superhero
Rocking that baby while I’m out slaying corporate dragons, zero to hero
I come home to LEGOs embedded in my feet
And a two-year-old victory yell that can’t be beat
She sings made-up songs at the top of her lungs
While the baby’s symphony plays in three different tongues
We laugh till we cry ‘cause nothing makes sense anymore
But your smile in the chaos is the only open door
No manual for this, just love and caffeine prayers
Somehow we’re still dancing in our underwear downstairs
We’re sleepwalking through our beautiful mess
Tripping over toys and stealing one more kiss
Diapers, deadlines, and tiny hands in mine
None of us had enough sleep to make any sense tonight
But damn, it feels like heaven in this crazy life
Yeah, we’re wide awake inside the sweetest kind of tired
One day these nights will be quiet, the house too clean
And I’ll miss the beautiful noise and the way you held the scene
So I’ll bottle up the laughter, the yawns, the midnight feeds
‘Cause right now this tired love is everything I need
We’re sleepwalking through our beautiful mess
Holding on tight through the joy and the stress
Eight, two, and five months — my whole world aligned
None of us had enough sleep… but we’re doing just fine
Yeah, we’re sleepwalking through our beautiful mess
And I wouldn’t trade a single sleepless second for the rest

You still come up in conversation,
Over coffee or a beer or two.
Someone says your name like it’s supposed to sting,
But it don’t cut like it used to do.
Guess I wore that pain too long,
Till it finally wore right through.
Now the life I’ve got fits better,
Than the one I had with you.
You’re still telling your story,
Painting me black and blue.
But truth’s got a way of shining through the cracks,
And folks see more than you think they do.
I don’t lose sleep, I don’t rewind, I’ve made my peace,
I’ve paid my due. Some people from your past
Only know a version of you— Or the version of me you knew.
You can keep your crowd of echoes,
They still drink your favorite wine.
They nod their heads when you talk about me,
Like they never saw the signs.
But I wake up where the light comes easy,
With laughter filling every room.
I ain’t bitter, I ain’t broken— Just grateful I made it through.
You’re still telling your story,
Spinning it like you always do.
But I’ve stopped living in your weather now,
The skies above me turned brand new.
I don’t care who you try to prove,
That I’m the worst you ever knew.
Some people from your past
Only know a version of you— Or the version of me you knew.
Funny how the mirror changes,
When the storm dies down and clears.
I see a man I recognize again,
Without your shadow standing here.
You’re still talking, that’s alright, if it helps you make it through.
But I’ve found something solid now,
And it’s got nothing to do with you.
Let the whispers fade, let the past unglue— You can keep your shade,
I’ll keep my view.
‘Cause the man I am don’t fit that suit—
The version of me you knew Don’t exist anymore.
